Advances attitudes, policies and actions that promote justice, social inclusion and meaningful participation for African communities in Ireland and encourages a more postive Africa-Ireland exchange.
Dóchas [M]
The association of Irish Non-Governmental Development Organisations, which provides a forum for consultation and co-operation between its members and helps them speak with a single voice on development issues.
The Government of Ireland’s programme of assistance to developing countries, which forms part of the Department of Foreign Affairs. ICOS is funded to administer aspects of the Irish Aid Fellowship Training Programme
Kimmage Development Studies Centre (KDSC)
Offers Development Studies programmes combining formal and non-formal educational methodologies at undergraduate and post graduate levels on a full-time or part-time basis. Its provision also includes KODE (Kimmage Open and Distance Education) and Dtalk (short courses).
Union of Students in Ireland (USI)
The national representative body for students in Ireland. ICOS works closely with USI Equality on issues facing International Students.
The Wheel [M]
A support and representative body connecting community and voluntary organisations and charities across Ireland.
INTERNATIONAL
Academic Co-operation Association (ACA)
A think tank in the area of international cooperation in higher education. Its goal is to promote innovation and internationalisation of European higher education while maintaining a global outreach.
European Association for International Education (EAIE)
A non-profit organisation whose main aim is the stimulation and facilitation of the internationalisation of higher education in Europe and around the world, and to meet the professional needs of individuals active in international education.
UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA) [M]
The national advisory body serving the interests of international students and those who work with them in Britain and Northern Ireland.
