New Ireland-based study fellows welcomed

On 25 September 2010, Irish Aid and and ICOS welcomed all of the 26 Irish-based study fellows to the country with a day-long orientation session at the Irish Aid Volunteering and Information Centre in Dublin.
This event followed a series of tailored introductory arrival briefings at ICOS during the month.
For the first time in the 35 year history of the Irish Aid Fellowship Training Programme, women make up the majority of the awardees, both in Ireland and overall.
18 further awardees are undertaking fellowships in-region, with one fellow undertaking a specialist programme in Britain.
