Submission to the Minister for Education and Science on International Education
September 2003
ICOS responded to a Background Note from the Department of Education which set out the government's proposal to expand and develop Ireland's international education activities. We welcomed the Minister's initiative in establishing an interdepartmental group to consider the best ways forward and outlined our own role and activities with the hope that they could be integrated in an appropriate way with the new developments at national and institutional level. ICOS offered comments and suggestions that we hoped would be helpful at the start of the process and looked forward to further dialogue.
